Gidon Bromberg: We’re called naive. We’re called traitors. We’re called hopeless.

Working at the grassroots level to solve shared problems cooperatively among Israelis and Palestinians is not easy, but it is the key to establishing a new dynamic. In a new video produced by the Skoll Foundation, ALLMEP’s founding chairman and Ecopeace co-director, Gidon Bromberg, explains the challenges and opportunities.

In the face of a vocal minority claiming that “working with your neighbor is working with the enemy,” Ecopeace and other peacebuilders engage children in both communities, among others. “Working with kids has been really crucial,” he explains, “because their minds are open” and they understand that the environment knows no borders.
