“A New Way” (ANW) is committed to building a shared and equal society between Jews and & Arabs in Israel through long-term multicultural educational processes. ANW acts as a unifying force, challenging the existing rifts and bridging the gaps created by the artificial communal separation within the education system. ANW operates nation-wide, changing attitudes, perceptions, and points of view among students, their families, educational staff and municipal teams. Through carefully designed workshops, it builds familiarity, understanding, trust, and the foundation for multicultural collaboration. The various participants become ‘agents of change’ who spread the notion that we can live and work together in mutual respect, and a commitment to collaboration, for the benefit of the wider local communities. Working in partnership with schools and municipalities, ANW creates educational programs for civic engagement which bring students from neighboring communities together around issues of mutual concern, creating familiarity, understanding, trust and collaboration. ANW is continuously performing monitoring and evaluation surveys and examining its programs’ impact on the participants and their feelings and narratives.
