Since 2010, New Story Leadership (NSL) has competitively selected each year ten accomplished Palestinians and Israelis, ages 20-35. We fly them to DC for the summer. They live together with host families, learn together from DC’s best, work side-by-side in Capitol Hill offices, and advocate together for jointly crafted solutions for their shared homeland.
After October 7, NSL’s alumni – Israeli Jews alongside Palestinians from Israel, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza – decided to move forward together. They researched and negotiated a holistic day-after plan and called it the Phoenix Plan, The Plan addresses key roadblock issues that keep the region mired in a repeating cycle of violence. In addition to our ongoing summer work, NSL and our alumni are promoting the Phoenix Plan to decision makers around the world.
