Rabbis for Human Rights

Description

Rabbis for Human Rights (RHR) founded in 1988 is comprised of rabbis, women and men, from across the Jewish religious spectrum. Our approaches to Judaism may differ, but our commitments to democracy, peace and human rights as fundamental to our society draw us together. We fight for human rights and social justice in Israel and in the OPT. We work with pre military academies to conduct year long courses on human rights and Judaism and our work on human dignity and peace from an interreligious perspective is compelling.  From the annual olive harvest to exploring the intricacies of Jerusalem with Israeli gap year students RHR promotes a unique view of Judaism and democracy that is so lacking in contemporary Israeli society.
