Yachad at Limmud 2025

Yachad will be running a range of sessions at Limmud Festival this year from Sunday 28th December to Tuesday 30th December.

We are pleased to be running some of our sessions with our valued partners New Israel Fund UK, Standing Together, and Breaking the Silence.

Sunday 14:40 – British Jewish youth movements and their changing relationships to Israel-Palestine

With Dalia Blass, Yachad Youth and Student Worker

Join Yachad for a discussion with movement workers/madrichim/ot from several British Jewish youth movements. We’ll consider how each movement approaches Israel-Palestine education and how/why this is changing.

Monday 10:40 – Israeli Activism

With Eliah Levin, Luiz Aberbuj, Inbal Morag, Angela Mattar, and Atira Winchester

What does it take to spark real change? Activists from Breaking the Silence and Standing Together share lessons from global protest movements, what’s affective, the challenges of the Israeli context, and how civil disobedience fits into the activist toolkit.

How can societies scarred by violence build a shared future? Peacemaker Magen Inon, who lost his parents in the October 7th Hamas attack, joins activists from Standing Together to reflect on trauma, resilience, and the work of building peace.

Hear from recent participants on Yachad’s Youth and Student Trip to Israel-Palestine and hear the youth perspective on the current situation on the ground.

Tuesday 9:20 – What the hell is going on in the West Bank?

With Luiz Aberbuj, Inbal Morag, and Ella Tirosh

Speakers from Breaking the Silence will unpack the situation in the West Bank focusing on the Occupation, settler violence, annexation and more.

Tuesday 13:20 – Voices of women from Israel/Palestine

With Eliah Levin, Angela Mattar, Ella Tirosh, and Inbal Morag

Israeli and Palestinian women activists Angela Mattar and Eliah Levin will explore how gender challenges authority and shapes protest, the risks and opportunities it brings, and why women’s voices are essential to building lasting change.

Tuesday 17:20 – The war in Gaza: an invitation to a difficult conversation

With Magen Inon, Inbal Morag, and Luiz Aberbuj

This session invites us to face complexity, confront uncomfortable truths, and listen across differences, with speakers from Standing Together and Breaking the Silence, and peace-maker Magen Inon, whose parents were killed on October 7th.
