ALLMEP’s virtual winter gala, “Light the Way” is fast approaching!
ALLMEP’s “Light the Way” is fast approaching
Last year, we came together to shine a light on ALLMEP’s community of Palestinian and Israeli peacebuilders. This year, help us light the way toward a more peaceful future for all. On December 12th at 10am PT | 1pm ET | 8pm JLM, ALLMEP will host its virtual winter gala, Light the Way: A Global Celebration of the Peacebuilding Community. Join ALLMEP for this special livestream event and celebrate the largest and fastest-growing network of Palestinian and Israeli peacebuilders.
The event will be hosted by the co-hosts of the Groundwork Podcast, Dina Kraft and Sally Abed, and feature remarks from a stellar cast of guest speakers, including:
Lucy Kurtzer-Ellenbogen, Director, Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Program, United States Institute of Peace
Dr. Khalil Shikaki, Director of the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research
Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin, Director, Independent Opinion Research and Strategy, Ltd.
Ya’ara Saks, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development (Canada)
Thomas R. Nides, U.S. Ambassador to Israel
Rt. Hon. James Cleverly, MP, Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)
Samantha Power, USAID Administrator
The event will also feature special musical performances from the vibrant Jerusalem Youth Chorus and a new debut single from multilingual hip-hop group and social change powerhouse System Ali.
In 2021, ALLMEP added new member organizations that represent a variety of sectors and theories of change working in the region. This amazing milestone brings our network to over 150+ organizations. Alongside this growth, we have been working hard to prepare the peacebuilding field to receive unprecedented amounts of funding via the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act, while encouraging other governments around the world to join in this project and establish an International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace to radically scale the work of the region’s peacebuilders.
