Communications and Social Media Intern

ALLMEP is seeking a Communications and Social Media Intern who is interested in political advocacy, digital communications, and Israeli-Palestinian peacebuilding. The position will begin in July 2026. This position will be a key member of the communications team and will be responsible for helping the digital communications staff meet ALLMEP’s goals. This will be a remote, part-time (15-20 hours/week) position that can be done from anywhere in the US Eastern time zone. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the communications team to implement ALLMEP’s strategic comms plan, including brainstorming, planning, writing, editing, graphic design, and execution;
  • Execute graphic design and video editing for ALLMEP social media content;
  • Work closely with the EU-based advocacy team on creating materials and reports about ALLMEP Europe’s activities, including drafting blogs and assisting with graphic design, website maintenance, and social media messaging;
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, weekly planning sessions, and check-ins; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student based in the USA.
  • Ability to commit between 15-20 hours per week with flexible hours. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software such as Canva, Descript, Adobe, or others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively with team members, with thoroughness and attention to detail in task execution.
  • Interest in the non-profit sector and Israeli-Palestinian peacebuilding.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Israeli/Palestinian history, politics, and society, or experience working in the region; and/or
  • Significant demonstrated social media and graphic design experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

There are no extraordinary physical requirements for the performance of the essential functions of this position. ALLMEP will make reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

POSITION LOCATION

Remote position, anywhere in the US Eastern time zone. 

SALARY & HOURS

The fall intern will be expected to work between 15-20 hours per week from July 2026-December 2026 (negotiable) with the option to extend based on performance. Selected candidates will be eligible for a small stipend during their internship.
