On May 8th, ALLMEP member Sikkuy, The Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality, launched its guidebook for local Arab authorities on the mapping and identification of the needs of citizens in the field of transportation. This initiative, with support from the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), hopes to improve implementation of the Israeli government decision 922, which equalizes budgets for Arab citizens through the connection and cooperation of Sikkuy, government ministries, and three Arab municipalities (Iksal, Kabul, and Tamra). The broad goal of the initiative is to advance the successful implementation of the 922 decision in the fields of day-care centers, public transportation, reducing violence, and housing/planning.
